Ingredients:

  • 3T peanut butter

  • ½ c. applesauce

  • 1 egg

  • ½ t baking powder

  • ⅓ t vanilla extract

  • 1 stick pack of Golden Milk from Signe’s Spices

  • 2T chocolate chips and/or rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix the batter: Combine 3 tablespoons peanut butter, 0.5 cups applesauce, 1 egg, 0.5 teaspoons baking powder, 0.3 teaspoons vanilla extract, and the 1 pieces Golden Milk spice packet in a bowl. Mix well until smooth. Fold in 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) if using.

  2. Prep your mug: Lightly butter or oil the inside of a microwave-safe mug, then pour in the batter.

  3. Microwave: Microwave on high for 45 seconds. The cake should be set but still soft.

  4. Cool and enjoy: Let it sit for a minute before digging in — it's hot! Enjoy straight from the mug.

Notes:

A guilt-friendly treat with protein, no flour, and very little sugar. The Golden Milk spice adds a warm, aromatic depth that pairs beautifully with peanut butter. Chocolate chips take it over the top.
